Herrenhausen Palace, which will be used as a museum and venue for scientific conferences, now restores the architectural centrepiece to Herrenhausen Gardens, which have served as a striking example of grand horticultural style for more than 300 years.

The Great Garden is one of the most important baroque gardens in Europe, while the exotic flora in the Berggarten delights visitors all year round. Sponsored by the state capital of Hannover and the Federal State of Lower Saxony, the new museum in Herrenhausen Palace will open in time for the 2013 summer season, beginning with a comprehensive exhibition entitled “Palaces and Gardens in Herrenhausen – from Baroque to Modern”.
