At the old Aegidientor (Aegidien Gate), you will virtually resurrect the mighty city wall—which has all but vanished today—and learn how the city managed the balancing act between defensive protection and flourishing trade.
Around 1676 – The genius Gottfried Wilhelm Leibniz: Meet the city’s most famous polymath at the very place where he worked and gain insight into his visionary world of thought.

Around 1875 – The Prussian provincial capital: Feel the pulse of industrialization! Hannover is growing into a modern metropolis—factory chimneys are smoking, and the economy is booming.

Itinerary & Important Information:

A walk with a "wow" factor: We’ll visit the various locations on foot together. At five selected stops, we’ll pause and put on our VR headsets.

No prior experience needed: Operating the VR headsets is incredibly easy, and the scenes start automatically. Your guide will explain everything clearly before we begin and will be on hand to assist you throughout the tour.
