Leibniz Bicycle Tour
Description
This guided bicycle tour invites you to experience Hannover from a unique perspective—following in the footsteps of Gottfried Wilhelm Leibniz. Together with your guide, you will discover significant sites throughout the city and learn why Leibniz remains a symbol of curiosity, knowledge, and visionary thinking to this day.
At a variety of stops along the way, you will witness how a highly gifted child evolved into one of Europe’s most influential thinkers. Engaging stories from his life are interwoven with surprisingly vivid insights into the realms of mathematics, philosophy, and science.
The tour stops include, among others, the Leibnizhaus, the Leineschloss, the Neustädter Hof- und Stadtkirche St. Johannis, the Gottfried Wilhelm Leibniz Library, the Leibniz Temple, and the University. Along the route, you will discover—for instance—a replica of the first calculating machine capable of performing the four basic arithmetic operations, and learn more about Leibniz’s ideas that continue to shape our world today.
Naturally, there is also time to relax and enjoy the moment: during the tour, a special stop awaits you featuring a refreshing drink, which is already included in the price.
