The historic estate of the “Schloss Ricklingen” extends across over 84.000 m² of beautiful natural parkland, ancient woods and lawns. Its former district office building dates from 1777 and now, extensively and lovingly restored in every detail, serves as the Schloss Residenz.

Directions

The Schloss Residenz is in the Schloss Ricklingen district of Garbsen, about 20 km west of Hanover, the capital of Lower Saxony. Outstanding transport links mean that we are about 20 minutes from both Hanover city centre and Langenhagen airport.

By car:
From Hanover, take the B6 out of the city towards Nienburg. Turn left towards Meyenfeld and drive through Horst directly towards Schloss Ricklingen. Once you reach the town, follow the road named first “Brandmoor” and then “Im Dorfe”. Turn left onto “Große Rehre”, after about 300 metres turn right into Burgstraße. After about 100 metres you will reach the gates of Schloss Residenz.

By plane:
Take the airport road from Hanover Langenhagen towards Dortmund on the A352 and then the A2. After a few kilometres, take the exit for Garbsen Nord and follow Burgstraße directly into the town of Schloss Ricklingen. You will see the gates of Schloss Residenz after about 500 metres where the road curves slightly to the left.


By helicopter:
A private helipad / heliport is available in the castle park. This is about 150 metres from the main entrance to Schloss Residenz.
