The concept of bringing people from the Rhineland and other regions of Germany together in unique surroundings has existed for many years. The name “Ständige Vertretung” (Permanent Representation) refers to the ersatz embassies which represented West and East Germany in the respective neighbouring countries.
In this spirit, the Lower Saxon state capital of Hannover has had its own Ständige Vertretung for six years, thus welcoming a new form of gastronomical experience. Since then StäV has become one of the most popular places in the city. Located on Aegidientorplatz, Ständige Vertretung has also become a popular meeting spot. In the warm months, the outdoor seating under the parasols fills up quickly.
